You can see why Badtz sleeps with half her body through the hole in the pedestal. She needs a fast escape! Sometime she'll crawl up backward as if you were watching her go down the pedestal in reverse. You never know with her.

Sleepy Sunday

It's overcast and chilly outside. Badtz has the right idea. Sometimes it's okay to take your pet's example and be a sleepy-head.

Making New Pals

Tobey is a remarkably handsome cat. He has a nice gentle purr and an intricate kneading style. He never has to look far for admirers.

Being the only male in the house (well, besides Bill) he craves the companionship of other guys. Here he is sharing the warmth of the dryer with the neighborhood Gnome. The Gnome has been hanging around the cats' water dish for several years.

Thanksgiving Day

You may have noticed that there hasn't been much blogging done lately. Well, it's hard since both Bill and Kitty are working full time now. They haven't been able to run around and get good pictures of the critters much less get daily observance. Here's some updates on the critters.

Vive gets an earlier walk each morning and goes to bed directly at 9PM. She gets up for a potty break an hour later and goes back to bed directly.

Miss Texas has found comfort on the sheepskin rug draped on a chair in the dinning room. She has stashed a couple of Vive's rubber ball on it.

Tobey has been making an alliance with the Gnome next to the water dish.

Badtz has request that she be called T'Paw, but she meant, T'Pau. You know, the only person to refuse a seat on the United Federation of Planets or whatever. She should never have been left at home alone with the new Star Trek original series DVDs and a remote!

Developing Bad(tz) Habits

While watching an episode of Dexter there was a jumping sound coming from the dining room.

Tobey is taken to visiting the Bendables now! Tobey is also assuming the dryer during laundry leaving poor arthritic Miss Texas to the doormat. Maybe Bill and Kitty are not keeping him engaged or challenged as a cat. There is no Animal Planet show on this topic.

Remember the Avocado?

Badtz does the Avocado Dance every now and then. Okay, every night. Bill and Kitty will just have to capture it on video.

She is a very interesting cat.

What's Badtz been up too?

She has been very quiet except last night when she rapid fired "meows" at Bill and Kitty. She would not tell us what was on her mind.

You can see the reflexion of her eyes in the window on the top picture. She is very intense. Still wondering what all the "meowing" was about.

Bend it ike Beckhumm?

Never has anyone seen such enthusiasm on the field! Gooooaaalllll!! Vive is about to head kick this ball into the Gooooaaaallll!

When I Grow-up I Want to Be...

This afternoon, the Animal Planet Dog Championship show was on TV. The Gordon Setter won the Sporting Group and Badtz decided then, that's what she wants to be when she grows up. Bill and Kitty told her they're smart dogs and she had a long way to go (notice how she doesn't even know NOT to lounge over a hole in a pedestal).

Vive thought that a Brussels Griffon would be a better career pick although it resembles Groundskeeper Willie on the Simpson. That's "The Finger" Badtz is giving us. BadCatz!

Lost Kitten Needs Home

Our neighbor has found another group of feral cats in the neighborhood. She was able to capture this little kitten in the picture and is staying with her. He'll get neutered and all shots on Sunday. Here is a link for the webpage with more pictures and our neighbor's contact information.

Share the Warmth

Tobey is getting "long in the tooth." He and Miss Texas are enjoying the dryer.

A load of laundry tomorrow will be saved to do tomorrow.

What Does Badtz and an Avocado Have in Common?

Badtz's Evil Twin

A Badtz doppelganger was spotted on Telegraph Hill in San Fancisco. It was skulking about under a tree. The Double ran up the tree after this shot was snapped and slunk down behind a crossing branch. If it wasn't for the sudden movement of El Diablo Double Bill and Kitty would never know the Wild Parakeets were there.

Away From the Critters

Bill and Kitty took a wee break and went to visit family in Southern California. The critters are entrusted to a very wonderful petsitter so hopefully, everyone will be calm and healthy when the weekend is over.

Badtz Makes the Bed

A video of Badtz's bed-making technique was promised, so here it is. She does a nice job don't you think?



Bill and Kitty are hoping this will get her a job at the Day's Inn. They can drop her off in the morning and pick her up when her shift is through. She shouldn't take the bus home as it maybe too much for her to drag her Princess Leia lunchbox back and forth from the motel.
